This page has a chart/table. How to use the tools?

Filtering: Optional filters that can be used above the table may appear. They can be used to narrow down the results from a search, can be used alone or combined with another filter(s), and can be cleared.

Column Sorting: Columns can be sorted Ascending or Descending by clicking on the triangle in the header.

Display a specific number of Rows: The number of rows to display can be adjusted. Change the pull-down to between 10 and 50.

Save to PDF: Some tables will have the option to save the output as a pdf.

Note: Some charts/tables may not have all of these functions available.

DGS Newsletters

TheĀ First State Genealogist, the DGS newsletter, is published five times a year. Every 16-page issue includes an update on the society, DGS and local events, and articles covering a variety of topics. A sample is available here.

DGS Newsletter Indexes

Use the indexes below to find articles that were published in DGS newsletters from July 1978 to January 2004. Published regularly since 1978, the newsletters are packed with a variety of information, including society updates, events, research tips, genealogical stories, transcribed records, and area repositories.

Access to these indexes is available to all. Use them to find articles in the Newsletter Archive, with digitized copies of all of the more than 200 issues of DGS newsletters. Many thanks to long-time DGS member Lloyd Maier for compiling the indexes.

All three indexes are PDF documents. TIP: To search a PDF document, press Ctrl F, type in the word you want to search, and then press Enter.

The Newsletter Archive, where more than 40 years of newsletters can be accessed, is available to members only. If you’re not a member, learn about the benefits of joining us at Join/Renew.
